Brian Jones' top 10 GAHS players to improve stock

Big B Brian Jones has put together yet another top 10 list, this time Score Atlanta's Brian Jones breaks down the top Georgia senior recruits that have improved their stock since the season started. For more from Brian, including an ALL NEW Top Ten list, tune in tonight from 8-10 on Sports Radio 790 The Zone. With no further ado...(PS, I threw my analysis in since Big B asked me to break these guys down. Hey, it's what I do!)

10. Dylan Shaddix- QB Henry Co. Anyone expecting a drop off at HCHS because Drew Little left to go be Bill Curry's first QB at Georgia State was mistaken. Shaddix has picked up where Little left off, but it certainly helps to have Ambles to throw to. Just saying.........

9. Zander Ogletree- LB Newnan. Amazing that this guy ONLY has one scholarship offer on the table in FSU. A pretty good offer, but still just the one. Not even GA State wants to offer this guy? I know he's undersized but come on...

8. Nash Nance- QB Calhoun. Having Da'Rick Rogers to throw to helps this guy, and he seems to have picked up the new system in a hurry. I nearly got to go see this guy play on Friday, but instead I went to NS-WR/Lowndes. Off my tangent...this guy is committed to Vandy and he give Rogers a real target. With Calhoun at No.1, perhaps this is Buford's year NOT to win the title.

7. Kahary Franklin – ATH Lowndes. I saw this guy on Friday night and after blasting him in the first half for seemingly not being able to run through the holes in the line, he proved that he doesn't need to run between the tackles. He can REACH the corner in a hurry ala Reggie Bush (in college!) and even though NSWR knew what play was coming, in several cases they couldn't stop it. PLUS, how unselfish was this guy to switch from QB to RB in his SENIOR season to help the team out. (or maybe it was selfish because he has pledged to Troy, but that was as a QB. As a RB, he could get some ACC or SEC love.)

6. Sinjyn Days – ATH Hillgrove. Unlike my co-host Scott Janovitz, I believe Sinjyn Days DID help himself with a strong first few games for Hillgrove, going from a questionable Tech prospect at ATH to potential STARTING QB at Tech. This kid is pretty dadgum good.

5. Charles Perkins – RB Collins Hill. He committed before the season to Tech, so I'm not sure he's improved his stock, but he's suddenly become a better pickup for Tech. I love this kid's ability and I think he will carry Collins Hill to at least one upset in the playoffs.

4. Hutson Mason – QB Lassiter. Interestingly enough the recordbreaker hasn't gotten the love i thought he'd get after throwing for over 400 yards. Colleges cannot think "oh he's just a system guy" when he'd be running THAT SYSTEM! In a state where the WingT rules, he runs the spread which it seems EVERY college is running these days. You're telling me Miss State or Auburn or Clemson wouldn't love this guy? Shoot Wake Forest? Riley Skinner is leaving after this year Grobe!

3. Connor Shaw – QB Flowery Branch. He committed to SoCar early and he is still playing at a high level only now it is without Daniel Drummond. I have tempered my enthusiasm for the FloBranch Falcons, but expect Shaw to still make noise in the playoffs.

2. Ean Pemberton – RB Grayson. All the little giant is doing is having a BETTER season than last year. And he's doing it without Tyler Horne. He is returning punts, kicks and STILL grinding up the yards. He'll get the looks from all of the smaller schools (GA Southern, Furman, UTC, etc) but I am rooting for a Louisville or Georgia State or UAB to give this guy a chance.

1. Rajaan Bennett – RB McEachern. What more can this guy do besides lead his team to an undefeated record and back from the dead against Woodstock in a game I witnessed? UK needs to count its lucky stars that they signed his teammated TMitchell last season and hope to heck that they can get him to committ before he completely blows up and forgets their phone number. If he doesn't end up at UK, look for him to think FSU or Miami or Clemson, if those schools are SMART. (not always smart as we've seen in recent years.)
