The Eagles of Northside-Warner Robins broke the state-record for consecutive 10-win seasons, registering the program’s 14th straight season with double-digit victories. The Eagles will enter the playoffs as Region 1-AAAA No. 1 seed. ...

If Flowery Branch is to make the Georgia Dome and play for a state title, the Falcons may want to draw on the 2007 team’s experience after Lee Shaw’s squad won four straight road playoff games to reach the title game. Flowery Branch was 9-0 entering the regular-season finale at Clarke Central before losing to the Gladiators. A three-way tie, including Heritage-Conyers, among the Region 8-AAAA tri-champions forced a draw, sending Flowery Branch to the No. 3 seed.
