Peeblebrook faces South Cobb in a game North Cobb will certainly be watching. A Falcons victory would clear things up but if South Cobb springs the upset, watch out. ...

Lassiter hosts Etowah for the right to travel to West Forsyth. The loser heads to Raider Stadium to face the explosive Alpharetta offense, sparked by Joshua Dobbs. ...

North Clayton can sew up the fourth playoff seed in Region 4-AAAA but a loss opens the door for either Banneker or Creekside to slip into the postseason. ...

Dalton still has an outside chance of keeping its winning season streak alive. It begins with a trip to Cartersville. The Catamounts would need to make it to the quarterfinals to get to 6-6 and to the semifinals to ensure a non-losing record. Should Dalton simply make the AAA title game, the winning season streak would continue. ...

In Region 6-AA, Greater Atlanta Christian, ranked No. 3 just two weeks ago heads to Lovett needing a win just to qualify for the playoffs. Lovett was ranked No. 5 when it lost to Buford September 23. Lovett has dropped two of its last three games. ...

One of the top senior quarterbacks in the state will play his final game of the year this Friday as Greyson Lambert and Wayne County wrap up the season at Greenbrier. Lambert is headed to Virginia but Wayne County is 4-4-1 heading into the last game.

... Central Gwinnett’s season will come to a disappointing end this Friday at home against Grayson but receiver Malachi Jones certainly did his part this season, hauling in 73 catches, a Gwinnett County record, according to Todd Holcomb. The Black Knights snapped a five-game losing streak with the 33-26 win over Shiloh Friday.
