Brian Jones' top senior GaHS olinemen

In case you are JUST NOW GETTING TO THE PARTY, Brian Jones of Score Atlanta fame has been breaking down the top senior players at each position for the 2009 Georgia High School football season. Here he breaks down the big uglies aka the O-linemen. For more of Big B, tune in Sunday to 790 The Zone from 5-7!

10. Cameron Fordham (Northview) – 6-4. 235. Not the biggest lineman in the state but is the most athletic as he can play center, tight end and defensive end. He has committed to LSU.

9. Grant Ramsay (Pope) – 6-5. 280. Ramsay is a guard that can maintain blocks as good as anybody in the Cobb County and the state. He will play at Vanderbilt in 2010.

8. Max Garcia (Norcross) – 6-5. 280. Garcia has been on Vanderbilt’s top 10 board for a while. He is a guy that is good at getting to the second level of defenders which opens holes for running backs. NC State , South Carolina and Wake Forest have offered.

7. Reid Webster (Etowah) – 6-4. 265. Has long arms and drive defenders back with ease. Florida State, Miami, Clemson, Louisville, Ole Miss and Oklahoma State have made offers.

6. Morgan Bailey (Loganville) – 6-4. 285. Bailey is one more sought after lineman in the southeast. He has committed to Georgia Tech.

5. Austin Sheppard (North Gwinnett) – 6-5. 315. When a defender is locking horns with Sheppard, they are not going to escape. He will play for Nick Saban in the fall of 210.

4. David Yankee (Centennial) – 6-5. 275. Yankee is quick and athletic which will take him far in the college level. Duke, Clemson, Florida and Georgia have interest in him.

3. Ed Christian (Lowndes) – 6-5. 280. Can play with a nasty streak and can dive defenders back as good as any lineman in the southeast. He has committed to Florida State.

2. Kolton Houston (Buford) – 6-5. 270. Could very well be the best guard in the state as he was opening holes for guys like Storm Johnson last year. He will be wearing the red and black in Athens in 2010.

1. JaWuan James (North Gwinnett) – 6-6. 293. James is one of the best tackles in the country as he has great footwork and great body control. He will join Sheppard at Alabama 2010.

Ooops, Anonymous's comment was deleted again. Darn this glitch.

But that's OK. I pretty much can quote what chickenblank said...

"Thanks for these lists Brian Jones! It is interesting to see who will be on the field for Tech in the next few seasons when the Jackets lose to Georgia.

PS, I was looking through my prom pictures the other day and I saw my photo with my sister, since Mom made her go with me. I made sure my pocket protector matched her dress!"

Come on, lay off the Tech fan. It's not his fault. As a mediocre coach, I take full responsibility for losing to Tech. All UGA fans should get to used to us losing to Tech every year. But don't fret, I'm a man of God, and somethings are more important than football victories. I am molding future leaders of tomorrow(please excuse the numerous arrests and suspensions each year). oh yeah, 45-42, suck it!

Yeah, I agree with coach Richt. It's not the Tech fan's fault I can't tackle. 45-42, suck it!

What's funny is that GT is going to try to do a white-out again.
