A busy night of Sunday television

Good thing Flenda's has three TVs in it because between No Country for Old Men, The Hills finale and the MTV Movie Awards, THIS GUY was a busy man.

Let me start off by saying that No Country for Old Men....what just happened? It was as though the Cohen Brothers were writing a (boring) movie and then reach the 2 hour mark and decided "Oh crap, we just hit 2 hours. Let's end the movie!" However, instead of wrapping up the movie, they just went to black ala Sopranos. Very strange....

As far as the Twilight Award, errrrrrr I mean the MTV movie awards, I am a little tired of just giving Jim Carrey an award because he was in a movie. But he won the award for Liar Liar 10 years ago and this was the same movie, so why not give him the award again? And could we tell Eminem that maybe his scene last night is the reason he hasn't gotten another role other than 8 Mile. DUDE, your acting was terrible. We all knew it was a setup and you still couldn't pull it off.

But now to the real story of last night. LC leaves the Hills. I wonder if LC has learned anything from Mischa Barton who wanted to leave the OC to pursue other stuff only to find that nothing was out there. The OC quickly folded without her even though I think it was only because they story lines played themselves out after the midpoint of season three. With LC, they will replace her with Kristen Cavallari and the show will hardly miss a beat. Kind of like when Diane left Cheers and the show just moved on to Kirsty Alley. Not sure this was the best career move for LC, but the show will benefit from it because she had clearly grown tired of it and the writers were even writing her out of most of the story lines. (wait, I thought this was reality...)
But the drama last night was with the naming of the maid of honor. Heidi gave it to her sister (duh) but for some reason She-Pratt couldn't believe this. REALLY? You thought you would get it over her FREAKING SISTER? Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrright. And it was also funny when She-pratt was angry with Holly for arriving late at the bridal shower. Ummm maybe she has a real job and doesn't just work for MTV? Possibly? Maybe not. I cannot confirm that.
But what I do know is that Holly shouldn't have been throwing food. Spencer had EVERY right to yell at her. Again, I know the script called for it, but Holly should have questioned the writers. They could have come up with a better way for her to ruin the rehearsal dinner. The speech she gave was on the right track. Maybe she could have talked about a former boyfriend or something. That would have been better.

Lastly, I hope Sleazy T gets more airtime next season. He made his debut on Brody's show and he has been making cameos this season on The Hills. Let's hook him up with Kristen please. Get him some airtime! Sleazy T!

So to summarize....No Country for Old Men-WHAT? Andy Samberg-not funny. Eminem-not a good acting job. Twilight-big with the tweeners. Holly-grow up. LC-bad career move. Future of the Hills-in good hands with Kristen.
Can't wait for "Im a 'celebrity'...get me out of here!" tonight and Paris Hilton's BFF tomorrow. Yee-haw! Who says Summer TV is bad?

I agree Roomie...LC was the most boring character on the show. It's gonna be so good with Kristen.

I wish you'd stop hating Andy Samberg....he was hilarious on the MTV movie awards! That whole montage of "real men walk from explosions" was awesome.

If by "awesome" you mean, Fletcher turned the channel to rather watch Women's softball opposed to seeing Andy Samberg do another stoopid digital short.

Then, yeah, it was awesome.
