Monday's Score Atlanta recruiting news

The Georgia Bulldogs received some good news even after dominating the Ole Miss Rebels on the football field Saturday. ML King wide receiver Blake Tibbs became the 15th high schooler to pledge his verbal commitment to Mark Richt and the University of Georgia. The AJC reported that Tibbs was offered a scholarship after Flowery Branch’s CJ Curry switched his pledge from Georgia to Oklahoma State earlier this summer. ...

Georgia is also hot after Tibbs’ teammate Kenderius Whitehead, a defensive end that has called Georgia his leader. Whitehead had double-digit offers when he finally received his offer from Georgia. He told The Official Visit co-hosts Fletcher Proctor and Scott Janovitz that the coaching staff said he reminded them of the Dallas Cowboys standout DeMarcus Ware. ...

A University of North Carolina official was on hand at Tom Riden Stadium Friday, watching the Buford Wolves host the Lovett Lions. Buford had several players already committed to ACC and SEC programs but Score 44 TE/DE Kurt Freitag is still undecided as is OT Vadal Alexander. ...

Finally, Kyle Sloter, who recently received his first offer (Tulane), visited Arkansas for the Troy game and is getting interest from the SEC West team, as well as NC State, UAB, Furman and UNC.
