It is halftime of the Vandy/Florida game and what is kinda funny is that Vandy had its first three punts blocked when they tried to do that stupid rugby style punt formation. Yep. three straight. MEMO to BOBBY JOHNSON: Klimpsen is watching and maybe they want a coach that isn't insane! Because that is the ever-so popular definition of insane right? Doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result. And Vandy calls itself the smart school. IT AIN'T WORKING! MIX IT UP!
And PS, Georgia stinks unfortunately, but it is kinda nice that they managed to pull out the road win. PSU would have loved to have pulled out a win, and Bama barely did. A few seasons back this is a game that Georgia would have lost, but it is nice that they won. And if you caught Stafford's line: 17-27 376 yards 3TD 0 INT. AND he drove the team down the field to win the game and made the third down play to take the lead. But yeah, Matt Hasselback er Ryan prolly would have done the same thing, right? Wait, he lost to FSU and Maryland his senior year. Oh and when VaTech got its second look at him, they lost that one dos. But Matty Ice was CERTAINLY the better college QB. And will be a better pro one too.......NOT
Finally, getting back to the Florida/Vandy game at halftime, how come NO ONE has EVER put a good hit on Tim Tebow? No one EVER has. Why? Just give him a good lick. And as for Percy Harvin and Jeff Demps, really? Demps wasn't impressive against UGA and Harvin had the score, but it wasn't a game changing play. When they put him in the backfield as the QB, why don't teams just tee off on him? What, is he going to pass it? Come on folks. HIT HIM. Just get physical with Florida. Ole Miss did and they won. LSU didn't for WHATEVER reason, neither did UGA. Bama will in the SECCG because that is all Nick Saban can do. That is why I am not freaking out quite as much as I probably should.
Listen, right now I feel, I guess like Boston Red Sox fans did for so long with the Yankees. UGA is Boston and Florida = The Yankees, right down to how annoying/arrogant they are. UGA just needs its bloody sock then maybe UGA can because just as smug as the rest of the Bahston crowd out there. I am looking forward to that. Maybe this year was just our 2003 ALCS. Maybe next season can be the 2004 breakthrough....A guy can hope right?
At least bball season is fast approaching. (Checking out the preseason predictions.) Wait, Felton's Hoop Dawgs are picked to finish LAST in the SEC East and 11th out of 12 in the SEC? The defending champs?
