all the bats get going...except Frenchy's

9-3. two home runs from BMac. even one from Tex. Yunel Escobar hit a bases loaded double. The team got a strong effort from Jair Jurrjens as he won hiw 9th game of the season. Heck even newly signed Julian Tavarez got some action (he only retired one of the five hitters he faced and gave up two runs, but still).

The only negative was...Frenchy. 1-5 with a strikeout. He did throw a guy out from the outfield, but 1-5. where was that confidence he was showing in AA, you know, over those three days? His performance will be overlooked because the team won and gained a game on Philly, and they only sit 5 GB now (as I have said, they need to be 4GB or less going into the ASB, and with Huddy on the hill tonight and the Padres in the next few days, a 5 game winning streak isn't out of the question!).

But this 1-5 can't be good. Maybe he is in good spirits, but his single came after a home run when the game was locked up. I would have rather the single come in the second inning with a runner on second. Even Kotsay got his groove back in this game.

I am worried about Frenchy, but hopefully tonight he goes 2-5. Marked improvement is all I want. Also I want 3 runs of support for Huddy, because he is going 7 and allowing 1. I can FEEL IT!
