THE ULTIMATE BAND!

With all of those Guitar hero games and NFL coaching games coming out, how about we combine them and create a video game that would let you star as a manager of a potential rock band and you have to put the band together. You get to choose from throughout Rock history and put this collection of talent together.
As a manager, you'd have to deal with agents, bookings, massaging egos and all that. Follow their hits, make sure they are happy. Cover for them if they get DUIs or trash hotels, or try and hook up with Lindsey Lohan.

If they have games were you can be an NFL coach, why isn't this out there.

Plus how cool would that be, to play the game and create these uberbands do songs together and all that?! Let's do this thing. This is the band I would create....

on lead guitar Jimi Hendrix. Probably the GREATEST guitarist of ALL TIME. Yeah Slash(GnR) and Jimmy Page (LZ) were fantastic, but they could not live up to the hype that was Jimi! Fantastic. Just can't get past his talent. Died too young. Had so much more to offer as a producer and whatnot. But maybe the Kurt Cobain theory applies in that he will be forever remembered as kicking butt, instead of potentially ruining his memory with a crappy solo career or crappy second band. Jimi, you just can't lick him. Purple Haze, Watchtower, and of course, the Star Spangled Banner. wow.

on rythym guitar, Eric Clapton. WAY overqualified for the gig, but HEY, this is my ultimate band. Plus he could write some of the songs, and he is just a cool dude. Such range as a musician.

on drums, Lars Ulrich of Metalica. I considered the dude from Def Leopard. I mean the guy did it with one arm! But it all goes back to Lars. Seeing him live is awesome. Even if he hates Napster, he still rocks it out. I know he's kind of old, but Hendrix is dead. Several drum solos for THIS GUY

on bass, Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I picked Flea over Cliff from Metalica and John Entwistle of The Who because I like his spunk. He isn't as talented as those guys, or even the slap from Primus, but Flea has the charisma that this band needs, PLUS he can hold his ego to let the other members shine. PLUS, this is is likely to go crowd surfing at some point of the show.

and my lead singer.....Jim Morrison of the Doors. I was considering Mick and Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) and Robert Plant (LZ) but at the end of the day Jim was one of those ONCE IN A LIFETIME talents who you REALLY HAVE TO LISTEN TO to appreciate. You can't just hear his music, you've got to feel his music. You've got to take in the sounds and only then can you really get how great he his. Plus with this guy, I think he'd let Jimi get all of the press clippings and let Clapton take most of the writing credit, while he would just love the music he puts out. Plus he'd get the girls. Oh yes. THE LADIES!

ok, so that's my dream band. I like the dynamic and I think it would work for the reasons I've already stated above. Enjoy it, rip, have at it.
