I HATE to say I told you so.....but........Greg Shiano, way to Fogler it! (in case you DON'T get the reference, Eddie Fogler was the brainiac that turned DOWN the UNC basketball head coaching job-you know, one of the top 3 jobs in the country-to stay at South Carolina and continue his stint as head man there. He was fired one season later.) Shiano turned DOWN THE U aka Miami to remain at Rutgers, thinking he was going to take the official state university of the Armpit of America TO THE TOP...they are 1-5 this season and have gone to such bowl hotspots as Toronto's International Bowl over the last few years. WOW.
Way to Fogler it Shiano. Now, he probably won't get fired because he can play the whole, "I showed you loyalty, so you should show me some," card, but earlier this season, his senior QB to a swing at one of his teammates after a bad game. And Rutgers is falling to the bottom of the EVER SO POWERFUL Big East Conference. (And if you couldn't smell the sarcasm oozing out of that phrase, you should go give yourself a swirly!)
Shiano, I bet if he could, would CLEARLY go back and take that multi-million dollar deal Miami was throwing at him. Let's see...recruiting kids to Coral Gables, Florida with hot chicks all around wearing summer dresses and Miamiish-clothes the ENTIRE year or recruiting kids to the ARMPIT of America, where girls bundle themselves up 99% of the year. And HEY, you could always get whacked up in Rutgers with the likes of Tony Sporano and Co, running around up there....
