This is Stafford's team now...hopefully.

The team was able to lick its wounds following the 41-30 beatdown from Bama back in September. It is a new month now and the Georgia Bulldogs are ready to face a team that has had its number the last two years. The thing is, Georgia can go one of two ways. In 2006, the Dawgs were blown out by Tennessee and then went on to lose to Vandy and UK (and FLorida, and they even struggled with Miss State) before rallying to beat three straight ranked teams to end the season.
In 2007 the team was smacked around by Tennessee again but then rallied to rattle off seven straight to end the season as Sugar Bowl champs.
How will this season go? Well I think if the QB has stepped up (And in the second half of the Bama game I think he did) Matt Stafford will lead this team to the SEC Championship game and possibly even higher.

Why do I say this? I just go back to the Bama game and even last year to the Tennessee game and the GT game. In those games we got to see the bad side of Knowshon Moreno. As much as EVERY UGA fan loves his spunk and energy, he does have a bit of a problem when he doesn't get off early. He seems to get a negative attitude that renders him useless. Last year v Tech, he seemingly shut it down all together and Thomas Brown was there to get the Dawgs the win (well he and Chan Gailey). In the Bama game you saw Moreno with the Know-hawk but after not having much success, he was on the sidelines most of the second half with an injury. I know he had moments, but it was Stafford trying to rally the team, even with a semi-concussion.

Stafford though can take this team by the neck and lead this team. He has the arm and he is a junior now. The young line and receivers are looking up to him. He can do it. And he needs to. The tools are all there, now just build with them. Use the arm and your head to navigate the schedule. It IS doable.

It starts with Tennessee, and the good thing about Vandy being "good" is that you won't look past them. The last time the Commadores were in Athens they left victorious. And last year you jumped on their star, so they may be pissed.

Going to LSU, after LSu has just finished a stretch @UF and @ SoCar, you couldn't be getting them any better, IMO
Then you head to Jax right after Tebow has gotten beaten up from Kentucky (they have a better defense this year than last, when they hurt little Tebow's shoulder.) And does Florida have a running game yet?
Then you have Kentucky AT Kentucky and I KNOW CMR would love to shut those fans up, the same ones that tore the goalposts down last time.
A trip to Auburn isn't as daunting anymore and you then get a week off before GT.

I know the sked isn't as easy as say a Pac10 or Big11's sked, but it is managable, especially if Stafford steps up and Knowshon helps out instead of tries to carry the team.

(And PS, as much as I love #24, he isn't the Danny Ware type that UGA sort of needs. You know, the 3/4 yards and a cloud of dust to move the tackles. As much as Knowshon is reggie bush, he needs a LenDale White. I think Richard Samuel COULD be that, but he hasn't been getting touches recently. As for Caleb King....esh. COME ON MATTY Stafford. Step up time. Make that paycheck.)
