I DON'T CARE IF HE'S OUT OF OPTIONS!

So Blane Boyer is out of options. THAT is why he is still in Atlanta. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I don't care. Throw him on waivers. IF he makes it, send him to SINGLE A to get him straight. If someone claims him, FINE. NO REAL LOSS! Oh he can throw a curveball? DOESN'T matter if he is always behind in the count 3-1!
The Braves went up early 1-0 and Glavine only gave up the two back to back solo HRs, then Chipper tied it up in the 6th with a solo shot. Awesome. Top of the 7th, two on, NO OUT and the Braves can't push a run across. CRAP. WOuldn't you know in the bottom of that inning with BOYER in, of course the bases get loaded and of COURSE Blane surrenders a double. then the other two runs come in with Jorge on the mound, but they are charged to Boyer.

Nice job BLANE! Good work!

As for Chipper, dude, we need you healthy! You are earning another contract right now, and a few years back, I would have said to let you go for a Starbucks at The Stick (or the Pad or the Nugget. see previous post if you don't get the reference), but NOW, I say the Braves need you. Especially if the Ted remains the Ted and Liberty media doesn't pony up to keep Tex (who at last check, STILL doesn't believe in Spring Training.)

The Braves are trying to hang around, but they certainly need to start putting some of these gimmie games away, otherwise, what does a sweep of the Dodgers really matter. The good news is the Marlins are leading the division and you KNOW they will fall back. The bad news, the Mets and Phils seem ready to take over. The Braves hopefully will get this thing turned around soon, but as it stands now, they may be hanging around, hanging around, but hanging too far back. The sights SHOULD NOT BE THE WILDCARD. It should be the division. The D-Backs will take the NL West, but the Dodgers pitching should give them the Wildcard. The Braves can't depend on that this year. They need the NL East crown. They MUST get back on track and a nice long homestand would seemingly give them that, but they haven't had one in a while. Let's get it going guys! Split the road trip these next few days then let's win a bunch at home!

And that is the game. The Braves had a CHANCE in the top of the 9th with Chipper serving as the tying run at the plate, but he flew out to center to end things. Oh well. Chances, but the Braves should have scored in the 7th to put the pressure on the Nats. The Bullpen has seemed to do well preserving the lead, but not holding a tie. Get their minds straight and stop wasting the efforts of Glavine. he might be this year's tough luck guy like Huddy was last season.
