Mid-week entertainment report-FNL's is coming back

Friday Night Lights will be back, Hypocrite, it's Slash on line one, Adam Sandler's ankle-breaking crossover, and David Cook visits the hospital.
Ladies and Gentlemen, it's the mid-week entertainment report!
CLAPCLAPCLAPCLAP

NBC has announced that Friday Night Lights will be BACK on the air next season, even though season 2 was never resolved. There were talks of shooting some of the remaining 6 episodes Or perhaps making a two hour mini-movie to catch everyone up, but no word on that. BUT SEASON 3 is coming. 13 episodes have been ordered and that is great. The question is, will Smash REALLY be gone? QB1 Matt will be a senior next season, but what about Riggins? (I know he will probably be off shooting X-Men:Origins of Wolverine or whatever) What about Landry? I need to know this stuff. BUT I WILL GET TO FIND OUT. How exciting. But, through some kind of deal with DirecTV, the episodes won't begin until 2009 because DirecTV's 101 will get to air them first. Whatever. FNL is back baby! (I STILL can't pull of the "Baby!")

So Scott Weiland has left Velvet Revolver. His people say the 40 year old "rocker" has reunited with STP for some touring. Slash, VR's guitarist confirmed this to the AP. Said Slash, "This band is all about its fans and its music, and Scott Weiland isn't 100% committed to either." I wonder if SLASH made this statement from the set of Guitar Hero 3, which features Slash's work with Guns N Roses, NOT Velvet Revolver.

So Adam Sandler has busted out the Allen Iverson ankle-breaking crossover, but he used it on the wrong person. He broke his OWN ankle recently in a basketball game. Interesting, I thought he broke it running away from ANY association with the movie Little Nicky.

Finally David Cook had to be rushed to the hospital last night after Idol (where he did very well during Country week, despite his rock status). Apparently he was having heart problems that doctors believed was due to the stress of the show and his brother's cancer. It was NOT a beating he took from the band Doxolgy (who?) which was apparently upset he used their version of Elanor Rigby (spellung?), without giving the band credit. Well, not his fault. He's probably never heard of you EITHER! But he gave a good effort last night, but I just couldn't get into DollyNight. Not a fan. Sorry.
Brooke sounded OK, Michael Johns was really good. I thought Castro sounded fratastic and David Archuletta bored me again. Carly, Ramielle, Syesha, enh. Kristy Leigh Cook, well she didn't even look hot last night. Come on KLC! Give me something to look at since I put you on mute whenever you come on.
I think Ramielle (or whatever her name is) is GONE.

And PS, I would like to say to the Idol Blog guy from the AJC, way to FINALLY make it to the party by realizing David A is the next Josh Groban. I believe that was said here maybe back in February? Just saying, glad the ajc is paying you. (And you had to have it handed to you by a Michael Johns' fan)
