Midweek Entertainment report12/10/08

Palin rejects Fat Oprah, Fantasia loses her house, MTV disses Atlanta and TWINS!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the mid-week entertainment report!

CLAPCLAPCLAPCLAPCLAPCLAPCLAPCLAPCLAPCLAPCLAPCLAPCLAP!

I saw where Alaska's Govnah and former Veep candidate Sarah Palin is giving Fat Oprah the cold shoulder. (Get it, Alaska? Cold shoulder!) Apparently Palin is now hitting the talk show circuit, but rejects Fat Oprah's invitation to appear on Oprah. Interesting. Fat Oprah is surprised by this? Before the election, Fat Oprah guaranteed that neither Palin nor McCain would appear on the show, but now that the election is over and her BOY Obama won, she is going to "let" Palin appear on the show. Ummmmm, yeah THAT REALLY HELPS NOW! Good for Palin, giving Fat Oprah the same dis that she was given. (PS, of course the reason I keep calling her Fat Oprah is because she has started eating whatever she wants and has started tipping the scales at 200lbs. She says she is embarrassed by this. I would how her BFF/lezbinen lovah likes the weight gain? More cushion for the pushing?") You go Palin. Ignore her all you want. She probably would have just called you a loser the whole time even though you probably have more experience than her boy Obama.

-and a sidebar, did you see where the Illinois Govnah was arrested for trying to sell Obama's now vacant Senate seat? Ladies and Gentlemen, the Democratic Party! I think this exact situation is what the Forefathers had in mind when they set up the government structure.

Former American Idol winner Fantasia may soon be homeless. Well not really, but the singer who once sang a song about being a babymama and proudly admitted that she couldn't read bought a house in 2007 for $1.3M and the Charlotte home is now in foreclosure. She is also, according to an AP story, defaulting on a $58K loan she borrowed to pay back taxes she owed on the IRS. Wow. Hey Fantasia, just because you won a singing contest, that doesn't mean you get to stop paying for stuff.

I saw where MTV is holding its next Real World...in Brooklyn. Yeah. Brooklyn. What was Beirut booked already? WHY IS MTV NOT COMING TO ATLANTA? According to my Roomie, Real Housewives of Atlanta received the best ratings Bravo has every recorded. But yeah, MTV, let's go to NYC for the third time. Good work. Yeah, I guess that would be better than the ATL. Whatevs. MTV, I can't be mad at you. Why........

Because of a Double Shot at Love with the Ikki twins. OK, let's just put this out there: the Ikki twins are bisexual. They are internet sensations that are trying to get more attention and extending their 15 minutes of fame to 17 minutes. I guess they are angling for a doublemint gum commercial? And it also seems like Rikki has been doing all of the "heavy-lifting" on the show. Vikki doesn't seem to into it. I am thinking that Vikki is straight and Rikki just realizes she HAS to kiss girls in order for the show to work. Oh well, it will still be fun to watch. TWINS! Were they the Coors Light twins? I should check that out. I am also sort of surprised a few of the people didn't recognize them, if they truly were "internet sensations" like MTV claimed. Twins, you tend to remember. As for the show, I think this batch of lezbinens are the best we've seen thus far. As for the guys, there might be a few d-bags which will make it interesting enough to watch. No Dom though and no Jersey, but what are ya gonna do? And I always think it is funny that at least 6 of the guys are listed as "personal trainers." I ALWAYS think that is funny.

I am also still waiting for this to happen, only with a dude as the "prize." I think, while the casual male wouldn't want to watch dudes making out, the DRAMA that would come about. It would make for GREAT TV. Imagine if Onch was the "Tila" in that situation. It could work. Just putting it out there.

That's all I've got for now. I can't wait to catch Dark Night on DVD soon. I thought the movie was a home run and a rewatching may push it to grandslam. That's what happened with the first one, Batman Begins. We shall see. Have a great rest of the week and Happy Hump Day!

Oprah and Palin should be able to like whoever they want to like... bad that's pretty much impossible if they want to maintain their approval ratings

Roomie - how come you didn't blog on this weeks The Hills? I expected a rant from you about how sentimental Lauren was about her parents moving. You know, b/c they bought that house her senior year and she never lived in it much.
