And Babes shall lead them

Sorry for the lack of Blog from Friday's game....was a little busy yesterday Cheers-ing in an attempt to end children's blindness!

on to the blog!

Friday game was great in the sense that SOMEONE was finally able to drive home runners with two out. Kudos Brandon Jones and Gregor Blanco. In fact Greg White had three RBI, so good for him! Way to go Gregor! And Brandon Jones went 2-3 with two runs and an RBI on Friday to help Jo-Jo (8IP, 2ER, 5K) earn the win. He was a hard luck loser last Saturday, so he deserved this one.

On Saturday, with Rafael Soriano on the DL, Charlie Morton was called up for his MLB debut and what a start it was. 6IP, 4K 3 runs on 5 hits and the Braves giving him a 9-4 win. Brandon Jones went 3-5 with a HR, 2 runs, this kid could stick around. Maybe it wasn't such a bad thing to send Josh Anderson down and bring this guy up. Next season BJ could very well be the starting LF with Schaffer in CF and Greg White as the fourth OF. (unless you trade Frenchy and resign Kotsay, which is what I say please do!)

Today the Braves go for-gulp-a road sweep. Wait, did I really type that? Jorge Campillo is on the hill and if he can regain some of that swagger he had a few weeks ago, this rotation may just fill out.

on a side note, HOW ABOUT THEM DAWGS?! Rallying down from 3-1 in the sixth then 4-3 in the ninth against a closer that was drafted in the first round? Freshman Lyle Allen gets a key RBI then Ryan and Bryce do some special things. This team just didn't give up, that's why they just might end this season in a dawg pile after the final out is recorded. 1990 and possibly 2008? This team is certainly deserving!
