Where is the passion?

I won't even get into the comedy of errors that took place in the first inning, (3 errors leading to 3 runs. way to help out a rookie making his first home start!) or the SHOULD HAVE BEEN ERROR that was committed a few innings later that drove a 4th run home.

No, I want to talk about the Braves dugout in the ninth inning. After the Braves FINALLY got a baserunner on after Brewers pitchers had set down 25 in a row, the team FINALLY broke through for a run to make it 4-1 and that was the score entering the bottom frame. Kelly Johnson leads off the last inning with a walk (way to go KJ. Good eye) then lil tex comes through with a blast (to the fourth row!?!) and suddenly the score is 4-3. Then BMac comes up and he singles to center. The fans were up! Then Omar Infante drops a perfect sac bunt down and suddenly the Braves have the tying runner in scoring position with one out.

Shot to the Braves dugout.
It looked like a funeral. Maybe it was because they knew Frenchy was coming to bat (ground out) and then a free pass to Brandon Jones brought pinch hitter Corky Miller to the plate. Maybe they knew the game was over. COrky lined out to end the game, but I want to talk about a lack of passion. REALLY? come on guys! You just sat there with a chance to TIE the game as a real possibility. Let your teammates know you are with them! No one was up against the dugout rail.
This is your SEASON! You've gotta show some emotion! Please!

Frenchy, NOT a good game for you. The error in the first inning...you could have NAILED Weeks at the plate. Same with Jason Kendell later. The guy is old and slow. Don't AIRMAIL the plate.
Frustrating is all I can say about the Braves. Oh well.

And to top it all off, the Dawgs blew a 5-0 lead and lost last night 19-10. Now Georgia has a game to decide it all. Winner-take-all tonight at 7pm v Frez-NO State. We will hear how Fresno is now 5-0 in elimination games...guess what? SO IS UGA! 5-0 v 5-0. It should be exciting. The Dawgs good bullpen arms appear to be rested, so maybe Georgia can get some work from Nathan Morneau and then get Dean Weaver! into the game and then AMR and Josh Fields to close it down. I sort of had a feeling that would happen. And I don't think David Perno would have had it any other way, besides his diamond dawgs with their backs against the wall!
