I didn't watch much of the Braves game last night. I was watching the Dawgs rally for a 4-3 win over Stanford and come within one win of the CWS final! 2-0! 16 of the last 18 champs have started 2-0. odds are good for the Dawgs. Especially with Josh Fields in the bullpen, though he did look a little TOO pumped up last night.
But way to go Gordon Beckham, Matt Cerione, Bryce (especially for your hot wife. Miss Nevada? Nice!) Way to go Dawgs! Get this thing DONE! YEAR OF THE DAWG!
But back to the BRaves. Jair Jurrjens goes 8 shutout innings IN COLORADO as the Braves TOM to a win (Tom Cruise). Chipper had a two-run single. Brandon Jones is trying his hardest to lock up LF for the next 15 years (Score Atlanta PotW).
This team, when on, looks pretty good. Now just get SOMETHING for Tex and we are talking!!!! Hey, maybe Tex returning to the Rangers for the next few days will kickstart him this year. Maybe?
Gotta like though the last four games, (three road wins and the fourth gave you a complete game from a young pitcher.) Let's go Huddy. Get this win. Get it DONE!
PS Huddy and Jair are now tied for the team lead in wins. Maybe Huddy is like Seabuscuit in that he needs to see his competition and then he'll take off! And an advantage Huddy has over the horse (besides the fact that he is a human and No.1 on the dominance scale) is that Tobey McGuire isn't RIDING him. Nice. (PS that is another point for humans on the dominance scale. Horses don't ride US! well, except in Tiajuana, Mexico. But then you'd have to look at the Nations Dominance scale to find Mexico WAY down on the list. US #1!)
