So Georgia lost the College World Series Championship to Fresno State 2 games to 1. In Game 3 the Dawgs barely put up a fight. Gordon Beckham and a solo home run, but the Dawgs, much like the Braves couldn't get the ducks on the pond into the water.
Can I now stop pretending that I care about College Baseball? When does football start?
Also, could ESPN PLEASE give the announcers more material next season for its coverage of the CWS? Orel and Mike Patrick were repeating the same 4 storylines THE ENTIRE TIME! Yes, Fresno is the lowest seeded team ever to reach (and now win) a championship round. YES, the kid has a torn ligament in his thumb, YES David Perno told Gordon Beckham in 2006 that he would lead them back to Omaha. And YES UGA would have won the title and been the first team EVER to win a title one year after posting a losing record. GET SOME MORE STATS!
And could some one PLEASE get in Patrick's ear and tell him which team is in the field at a certain time? Come on. Rookie broadcasting mistakes there. And YES I CAN say that because I don't mess that stuff up. Pretty easy to tell the players apart, you know with their different colored uniforms and all.
Go get them in 2010 Dawgs. Great season, what a shame to come up one game short. Congrats though guys! And hats off to Frez-NO! Just don't think I am picking you in ANY game this football season. I HOLD GRUDGES!
