Braves get swept but DAWGS on to Omaha!

Yep, the Dawgs for the third time in 5 years are headed to Omaha for the College World Series, one of 8 teams remaining in the double elimination tourney. NICE. Go Dawgs. Gordon Beckham had two homers yesterday, tying him for the career record as a Dawg with 51. I can only imagine that he'll hit AT LEAST one to break that tie with Josh Morris. Come on Gordon! And they just SMACKED NC State yesterday, notching 9 in the first inning, then after NC State thought they'd be cute and cut the lead to 9-3, the Dawgs went at it again, piling on in the bottom half of that 7th inning. Then the NCSU pitcher threw at Lyle Allen after a home run, all you did was anger the beast! You don't spit at a Raptor as he is eating you. It is over, just left it go...
A little revenge for 1983...not really, but I can pretend right?

Now, as for the Braves, with Chipper out of the lineup the team was toothless, but they managed to stick around 3-3 for a while....until Blaine Boyer decided to pull a Boyer and ONCE AGAIN cost his team a game. WHY Bobby keeps bringing The Pride of Walton in, I have NO IDEA! It is a good thing he didn't come out to pitch on Saturday, because I would have rushed down from section 420 and pulled a John Wilkes Booth on him as he was on the mound. Yeah, Sic Semper Tyrranus! All over him!
But Tex yanked a Home Run to get the Braves close in the first, but Campillo has now struggled two straight starts. Let's hope he can pull it together, otherwise this team is in TROUBLE. If he struggles TOO much more, go ahead and bring Charlie Morton up from Richmond. We can see how that goes. Morton is lighting it up in AAA, maybe that can translate into some Zack Duke early success. It MIGHT even energize the team. Shoot, something needs to if Chipper is out for anything length of time with this torn quad.
Down 6.5 after being swept AT HOME by the division leader and now you go ON THE ROAD to the field of the team with the best home record in the National League....major crossroads here. Either we come together RIGHT NOW as a team, or we will DIE...as individuals.
You've gotta scratch and claw with your fingernails. Because the inches we need, are all around us.

Now, gentlemen...what are you gonna do?????
