Game one goes to THE BRAVOS!

The Braves are taking on the Mets in a day/night doubleheader as they take the first game 6-1. Tom Glavine was a MAN, he was 42! after giving up a homerun to the light hitting Luis Castillo in the first he set down 16 straight and the Bullpen worked its magic, holding the Mets to just a handful of hits the rest of the way to get the win.
For the bullpen it has now been 19 straight innings without allowing a run. NICE!
Will OH-MAN was a perfect 4-4 today with 3Ks after relieving Glavine and the staff put 21 straight away before Blaine Boyer came in and allowed a Jose Reyes hit in the 8th. Yep Blaine Boyer. Couldn't have seen that one coming! I am pretty sure Boyer is french for "someone terrible at his job!" If your pizza man brings your food cold, you say "Dude, you took too long to get here! You are totally a boyer!"

And I saw a "tribute" to BB on SportSouth the other day calling him the "pride of Walton High School." REALLY? Not the 5-in-a-row Lady Walton tennis team? They've won 99 straight matches. Not the football team that made it to the Final Four for state playoffs?
REALLY?

As for Lumpy/Heaps, aka Brian McCann, he is making me wish I had NEVER thought bad things about him for going after pitches too early in counts. He had a Heapin' Helpin' of Dong with a blast to ice the game away.
Good work guys.....PLUS if Blaine Boyer pitched today, maybe that means he won't pitch tonight? One can hope.
Doesn't matter, the Spanish Blaine Boyer is the STARTING PITCHER tonight as Jorge Campillo takes the ball for the Braves.
Be sure to tune in after the game for Ed Voyles Honda's Extra Innings ONLY on Sports Radio 790 the ZOne and www.790thezone.com!

Shameless SELF-PROMOTION!
